Summary:
Gabriel was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 509th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska.
Gabriel attended the Colorado School of Mines for a year before he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2015.
He deployed to Afghanistan in September 2017 in support of Operation Freedom’s Sentinel.

Gabriel graduated from Berthoud High School in Colorado in 2014, having excelled there in academics and sports.
He served his church on mission trips to Mexico.
Gabriel’s military awards and decorations include the National Defense Service Ribbon; Army Service Ribbon; Parachutist Badge; Meritorious Service Medal; and, posthumously, the Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal with “V” Device, and Purple Heart.
