Summary:
Javier joined the Army in 2009 as an infantryman stationed at Fort Bragg. He was chosen for the Special Forces Qualification Course in 2012 and graduated as a Special Forces Communications Sergeant in 2015.
SFC Javier Jaguar Gutierrez was a really nice guy! He was uninterested in materialistic ways of living. He was more of a day-to-day kind of guy. His wife always told Jaguar, "You're a rare soul, I think you're 70 years old already, you just look young," because God blessed him with extraordinary humility.
He adored our Lord with all of his heart, and that alone captivated me. Jaguar's devotion as a Christian was his most valuable asset. I've always admired his dedication to our country. He would get up and workout every day, whether we were at home or on vacation. Jaguar not only exercised his body but also his mind, since he enjoyed reading historical books. He was constantly striving to be the best in all aspects of our lives. I'm fortunate to be able to call him my husband. He was a super loving husband and a marvelous father.

From Gabriel - He was a green beret. Daddy used to take us to the movie theater , and I had so much fun playing with daddy on the trampoline. Daddy will take me to work with him at 7th group . We enjoyed watching the cowboys football games , and he will play football with me.
From Eden - Daddy played with us always. Daddy work out a lot. He was very strong, Daddy will give us piggy back rides when were little and big. He would watch movies with us. Daddy made the best pancakes.
From Helen - My daddy was a great a soldier. And I love him . I remember daddy giving Eden piggy back ride. I remember going to the mountains and a cool hotel with a pool, and daddy was a shark.
From Emee- I remember daddy in the house cooking, and he took naps with us. I love daddy.
Life Achievements/ Recognitions:
Jaguar served in the US Army as a 7th Special Forces Senior Communications Sergeant.
He was posthumously promoted to Sergeant 1st class and awarded the Bronze Star medal and Purple Heart.
He earned several medals, including: Army Commendation Medal (10LC), Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 2), Army Service Ribbon, Expert Infantry and Parachutist Badges, Special Forces Tab, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Bronze Star Medal, and the Purple Heart.
