Military Branch: Army; Rank: SSG

Summary:

Jimmy was born in Kusan, South Korea, on April 4, 1975, to John Albert and Sun Ok (Park) Enfinger. While living in Orlando, Florida, he attended Boone High School.

He adored and treasured his mother, who passed away when he was only sixteen years old. He smiled every time he ate Korean food or heard someone talk in Korean because it reminded him of his mother.

Jimmy spent his childhood fishing, shooting, four-wheeling, going to the beach, and getting into mischief with his cousins, whom he considered his siblings. He cherished his much younger sister Ronda and taught her many things including how to light fireworks and ride a bike. Jimmy admired his father and decided to join the Army to follow in his footsteps.

Jimmy joined the United States Army in 2002 and was stationed in Fort Wainwright, Alaska, until December 2009, when he transferred to Fort Sill.

His first son Brandon was born on April 14, 2003, and sadly passed away shortly after. Jimmy wanted nothing more than to be a father. Jimmy was overjoyed when his son, Matthew, was born March 29, 2004. He was excited to learn his family was expecting a child again, but the world was not ready for him. The young child was miscarried in 2007.

In 2008, his family was blessed with another son. Michael was born in Alaska on February 8, 2008.

Jimmy fell in love with Alaska and spent his time photographing the mountains and stunning scenery. He was a courageous man who enjoyed feeding the moose up close. During the summer, we enjoyed taking the kids to the ice park and pioneer park. Jimmy's laugh was contagious, and he always brightened the atmosphere. He was witty and often made those around him smile. He exuded confidence and swagger. He could fix anything since he was a jack of all trades.

He enjoyed fishing, pool, darts, sports and was a member of his unit's Broomball team in Alaska. He loved spending time with his sons, playing poker, and working on cars. He was a generous man who would give you the clothes off his back if you needed it. Jimmy was a daredevil who never shied away from a challenge. He enjoyed going on roller coasters and sampling new foods. His boys have acquired his charm and adventurous energy, despite the fact that they are still little.
