Ryan was stationed in Schofield Barracks, HI from 2007-2014 as Air Traffic Controller, later he was stationed in Fort Hood, TX as 12B (Combat Engineer) with 937th Engineer Battalion.
Ryan loved the beach, and spearfishing in Hawaii. He was very adventurous, his favorite football team was the California Raiders, he loved tattoos, and heavy metal music, and some country music as well.
